Your school decided to embrace the MTSS framework for supporting students. The first stage in this process is screening. The critical question is how do you know which students need additional support? You don\u2019t want to go with gut feelings or anecdotes. You want empirical data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ideally, you\u2019d also like this data to be clear, easy to understand, and not require hours and hours to gather and crunch. We\u2019re always looking for the \u201cgoldilocks\u201d experience at Abre: Not too easy, not too hard, but just right. Just right delivers results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your first decision:<\/strong> Are you screening for behavior or academics? Of course, the two are frequently related. But when it comes to future interventions, defining your core inquiry is helpful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. How easy is it for your MTSS team to access these tools?<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Once tools are decided, what criteria are you using to determine if a student requires the MTSS framework?<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Once a student is identified, how does the school kickoff the next stage of the framework?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
